As part of Bawtry Festival, we’re presenting an illustrated talk on Bawtry in Roman times and we’re offering guided walks of the Town Trail. The talk on Roman Bawtry is on Monday 17th June at 7 pm in the Phoenix Theatre. The talk will describe all the Roman sites in and around the town and will include information about our “Hunt for Roman Bawtry” project.

That project was described in our earlier post here, made on 20th March 2024. Admission is free. There will be two opportunities to participate – for free – in our guided walks of the Town Trail. These will both be on Thursday 20th June, one at 2 pm and the other at 7 pm, starting from the Market Cross. The walks will last around an hour and a half. Please be sure to wear sturdy footwear and ensure that young children are accompanied by a responsible adult.
