In 2023 we ran a very successful children’s and young persons’ essay competition, with lots of contributions from Bawty Mayflower School and from the Air Cadets. We’re repeating, and expanding, our competitions in 2024.

There will be another essay competition, where we will be looking for original essays or stories that tell some of Bawtry’s history. We’re adding a children’s and young persons’ drawing or painting competition, where new and original pictures that reflect some aspect of Bawtry’s history can be submitted. Essays and or images can be submitted from April until the 1^st of June 2024, with judging during the Festival, which starts on 17^th June.
