We’ve posted a new history paper in the “All Periods” section of the “History” page. Sydney Barton was a Bawtry man who 90+ years ago tried to revive the old Bawtry Wharf.

Whilst it is an interesting tale in its own right it prompts us to think about the extent to which we celebrate this element of Bawtry’s past; a long lost feature which may have been the last green shoots of Bawtry’s true Genesis.
