In this paper, Mick Maguire describes an investigation we made closely associated with our “Hunt for Roman Bawtry” project. We had received information from a Bawtry resident that identified a possibility that there were Roman remains in his garden. The paper describes how we explored that possibility. We didn’t find anything Roman – but the exercise was a valuable learning opportunity.
